Journeyman Lodge

David and I set off on a couples weekend with 2 other couples. It was our 3rd day on skate skis and we skied 14km, climbing 1837ft to our destination, a backcountry lodge...journeyman lodge in whistler. It took us a gruelling 4 hours. We were rewarded with amazing meals, views, laughter with friends and soothed our sore muscles in a sauna and ice cold stream. It was an amazing experience. We loved every minute (minus the last 4km of the ski in). There was no cell service, no wifi, no tv. We read books, talked, snowshoed, Nordic skied and played pool.
