Faye's Birthday Bash

Happy Birthday to Faye, Happy Birthday to Faye, Happy Birthday to you. We had a very eventful birthday celebration on Sunday at our neighborhood park despite the first rain in two months. Faye was absolutely adorable in her red tutu, with her red balloons and her red icing. She went nuts for the cake, the pictures don't do it justice. By the end it was so messy we couldn't risk the camera :) Just before the party Uncle Mike asked if our friends were fair weather friends given the rainy weather for an outdoor party and we said we would find out. We found out in deed as everyone showed up with bells on and acted like they were having a great time - this is the pacific northwest. Faye received a gazillion presents which we didn't get a chance to open at the party but we did later that afternoon and she loved them all. Thank you to everyone that came out, even in spirit, it was a huge success. I'm certain the guest of honor had a ball. A big thank you to the Minears for your help in preparing and breaking down the party - we couldn't have done it without you and it was great to have family involved. We agreed it was more fun celebrating Faye's birthday than it ever was celebrating one of our own. In six months we do it again for Maddie (and in six days for her real birthday on the 19th).
