San Diego

We spent 5 glorious days in sunny San Diego, actually on Coronado visiting David's sister Sarah, Michael, Steven and Lawson. We had a fabulous time, it was paradise, thank you Sarah and family for showing us a wonderful time! We loved being with you and miss you already! We played at the park (love Sprekles Park), played in the sand, the ocean, ate lots of yummy food, got to see the Weeldreyers "most awesome house ever," says Lawson and Steven and we agree it was pretty sweet. We met the Easter bunny (Faye and Maddie called him Elmo and screamed in delight, a very high pitched delight at the sight of him). We had brunch on the Base and got to meet Sarah's good friend Hilary and her gorgeous and sweet daughters (they are pictured below). We felt the earth quake and felt several after shocks. Faye and Maddie loved Steven and Lawson and loved following them around. Steven said that he was "in charge" of Faye and Lawson said that he was "in charge" of Maddie, they were super sweet to the girls, such sweet sweet boys. Faye and Maddie also loved being held by Aunt Sarah, they said, "hold you, Sarah." "Hold you" is what Faye and Maddie say when they want to be held, so when Aunt Sarah heard "hold you, Sarah" she happily obliged. We loved our room and spent a lot of time on our patio. Faye thinks that when you look at the ocean you say, "lost his shoe." On our first night, we walked along the seawall to dinner, I was holding Faye and saw a size 12 tennis shoe in the sand all alone with no one around and said, "oh, someone lost his shoe." From that night on, Faye would randomly look at the ocean and say, "lost his shoe." Thanks again Weeldreyers for an awesome time in your little paradise and Michael, we wish we could have seen you more...duty calls.
